History of Computer Engineering Department
The Computer Engineering department was established in 2012. It admitted its first students in the 2013-2014 academic year. As of now, we have a total of 346 students, 91 of whom are in the English preparatory class, in our department, which provides four-year undergraduate education.
There is 1 programming and software development laboratory allocated for Computer Engineering students (CENG Lab.). This training laboratory, consisting of 60 laptop computers and supported by presentation systems, is used for basic education. The CAD/CAM laboratory (CAD. Lab), which is planned as a 60 HP workstation for technical drawing courses and provides active training, is managed by the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering departments. A second computer laboratory consisting of 20 PCs made available to the general public by the IT Department is also used for student studies.
